Santa Barbara Independent » Caltrans will repave more than 40 lane miles of State Route 1 from the Las Cruces Interchange (U.S. Highway 101 Separation) to south of the State Route 246 Junction in Santa Barbara County due to the funds from Senate Bill 1. SB 1 funds will enable Caltrans to fix more than 17,000 lane miles of pavement, 500 bridges and 55,000 culverts by 2027.

The court upheld a Revised Environmental Impact Report which focused specifically on the topic of intersection analysis. It serves as a revision to the previously approved August 2014 Final EIR.

More than 33,000 vehicles per day cross the bridges to reach their destination. The $1.4 million project has been awarded to Truesdale Corp.
