View Larger Image China will not build L.A.-to-Vegas rail line – U.S. company calls the deal off Los Angeles Times » In September 2015 XpressWest announced a joint venture with China Railway International (CRI) to build a high-speed rail line connecting Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV. XpressWest has now terminated their partnership with CRI due to concerns about timely performance, CRI’s challenges in obtaining authorization from the U.S. federal government to move forward with development of a high-speed rail line, and the federal requirement for high-speed trains to be American made.
