This piece examines Canada’s aggressive adoption of public-private partnerships (P3s) and questions whether or not the taxpayers are getting a good deal. It centers around a report released in September 2012 by the Journal of American Planning Association that studied 28 public-private partnerships in Ontario, Canada. Overall the report found that P3 projects cost on average 16 % more than traditionally delivered projects.
