The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is preparing a report about which toll roads can be bought out and the implications for doing so, including costs and whether other current or future projects might be affected. The report is due by September 1, 2016 and the state Legislature is expected to decide in 2017 if it wants to open up the toll roads.
