Vancouver’s $2.5 billion George Massey Tunnel Replacement Project will be delivered using a design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM) procurement method. This project will include construction of a ten lane bridge, upgrades to the existing highway, new interchanges, and replacement of the 60 year old tunnel. The tunnel portion of the project would be funded through tolls managed by a public sector corporation.
