The Ministry of Education in New Zealand has decided to use a public-private partnership (P3) for construction of four schools. The Ministry has narrowed the list of contenders to two consortiums. The P3 contract will include property maintenance for 25 years. Payments to the private partner can be lowered if the facilities do not meet the standards specified in the contract.
