At the groundbreaking for the eastern leg of the Northern Beltway in North Carolina, Governor McCrory discussed a proposal to ask the state legislature for $1 billion in bonds for transportation projects. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is reviewing 3,100 potential road projects that are estimated to cost a total of $70 billion. Supporters of the bond proposal are asking the Governor and NCDOT to consider increasing the amount of the bond proposal.
