L.A. Metro releases options to extend light rail Streetsblog LA » With the 8.5-mile, $2 billion Crenshaw/Los Angeles International Airport line more than 80% complete, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority has revealed five alternatives to extend the line farther north. The extension could be either a subway or elevated light-rail line, and the proposals range from $3 billion to $4.7 billion.
