View Larger Image Berkeley seeks public-private partnership to improve City Hall, recreation buildings Oakland Press News » The City of Berkeley is seeking proposals for renovations and improvements to their historic City Hall building and adjacent Parks and Recreation facilities. Similarly to Royal Oaks, Berkeley officials would like to use a public-private partnership (P3) for this improvement project. However, Royal Oaks officials are still debating whether to move forward with a $100 million P3 proposal that would cost the city $56 million, as “public-private partnerships are dicey options” and they are looking for ways to “get the cost of updating City Hall off the taxpayers.
