Alamance, Orange Will Get New Bridges The Times-News » North Carolina has expedited its design-build procurement delivery by adopting “express design-build.” This delivery mechanism differs from original design-build because it does not require the submission of a technical proposal. The state has selected the replacement of eleven bridges, to be awarded in one single contract, to pilot and test this new delivery approach.
